My Connequity
How should I use the My Connequity page?

My Connequity is a powerful custom overview of your account. Use it to quickly monitor, optimize, and control key functions, tasks, and interactions. The left column of the page contains important action items, including new matches and new referrals. The right column contains a list of ordered tasks that will help to optimize your account for receiving the highest possible quality and quantity of referral matches. In all cases, links are provided to take action on any item.

Why don’t I see any new Matches or Referrals on My Connequity?

When new Matches or Referrals are available, they will appear on the left side of My Connequity. New Matches are served to you when Connequity is able to pair you with a trusted and qualified referral that meets your specific needs. New Referrals are given to you by other Connequity members that feel you would benefit from connecting with one of their contacts. As your matching profile is fine-tuned through the tasks suggested on the right side of My Connequity, your likelihood of receiving member referrals greatly increases.

What can I do to improve my quality and quantity of Matches?

The ability to receive Matches that meet your needs depends on several factors. Connequity gives you all the tools necessary to optimize your account for improving your matches. The tasks shown on the right side of My Connequity are designed to build an accurate and complete profile of your referral needs, resulting in improved Matches. Additionally, on the Refine Matches page you may change the types of referral sources (or professions) that define your referral network as well as adjust the distribution to request fewer or more matches from each referral source. One final factor is the size of the Connequity ecosystem in your business territory. As your ecosystem grows, so will the availability of Matches that correlate with your specific referral needs. Inviting your Contacts to join Connequity will positively impact your matching potential as well as improve the overall ecosystem for all members.

How can I keep track of tasks that I’ve completed to improve my Matches?

The right side of My Connequity contains a list of tasks that each member is encouraged to complete in order to receive a higher quality and quantity of matches (a to-do list). As each task is completed, they are confirmed with a green checkmark icon and cataloged in their own list at the bottom right side of the page.

Matches
What is a Match?

Matches are carefully screened by our proprietary Intelligent Lead Generator™ technology, which considers network influence, professional traits and personal preferences. Although Connequity has a high level of confidence in the compatibility of each match, you will always have the option to accept or defer any match given to you.

How does Connequity match me with business referrals?

Connequity gathers important information about every member. This includes data about you, your contacts, your business, and your desires for future referrals. This information is then analyzed and synthesized by our Intelligent Lead Generator™ engine to determine compatibility between you and potential matches. You will be provided with a unique Synergy Report for every match, which intuitively shows your percent compatibility in network influence, professional traits and personal preferences.

The frequency of matches can vary depending on your criteria for those referrals and the pool of qualified candidates within your region. Connequity will always attempt to match you with as many referrals as possible.

What should I do next after I accept a Match?

When Connequity initially shows you a Match, the details for each profile are limited for privacy and security reasons. However, you are given enough compelling and vital information, including our exclusive Synergy Report, to determine compatibility between you and your potential business match. Once both parties have accepted the match, full profiles with much more detailed data are made available you are able to connect with each other via messaging within the Connequity application. After your initial connection, you are completely free to exchange contact information and move your professional business relationship forward in any way you choose.

What happens to Matches that I defer?

Connequity serves you Matches that have been qualified based on the relevant data we have received from you and your potential Matches. The more complete and accurate the information that is obtained, the more relevant the match will be. So, if you receive matches that don’t fit your referral criteria, please consider reviewing your account to ensure accuracy of information provided. If you choose to deny a Match, Connequity will not show you that match again unless you alter your account information in such a way that would suggest that match has become relevant to you.

What is considered a successful Match on Connequity?

The most successful Match would be a case where both parties have a mutually beneficial business synergy. Connequity strives to pair you with matches that both have what you need, and need what you have. If you accept a match, make contact with the other party, then go on to create a business relationship where both parties have achieved their respective goals, then a clearly successful match has been achieved.

What do referral sources have to do with Matches?

Your Referral Network is comprised of a list of referral sources. Referral sources are the professions that are most likely to refer business or clients to you. Your referral sources were defined during the Connequity sign up process and may be edited at any time from the Refine Matches page. Connequity uses these referral sources as a basis for matching you with individuals that meet your business needs. Matches who fit your referral source criteria will have higher network influence scores on their synergy reports. Synergy reports show you a snapshot of each match’s compatibility across multiple important referral criteria.

What happens when I change the distribution on my referral sources?

The Refine Matches page contains a list of referral sources on the left side of the page. Each referral source is associated with an adjustment slider, which allows you to specify more or fewer potential matches to be served to you from each source. The pie chart to the right of the page lets you visualize the resulting distribution, or percentages, of each referral source you will receive.

Referrals
What is a referral?

Referrals are introductions given directly to you from other Connequity members. Ideally these introductions will pair both parties in a synergistic business relationship with each other. The validity of direct referrals cannot be evaluated by Connequity, but is subjectively qualified by the person who initiates the referral.

Where can I go on the site to initiate a new referral?

There are two locations on the Connequity site to initiate a new referral. On the Refer page you may specify a new referral, then track that referral on the Referrals Given page. On the Contacts page there will be a refer action available for all connequity members in your contacts list. This feature is also available on any other pages of the site where your contacts are shown.

What is the procedure for initiating a new referral?

From the Refer page (or refer modal), first choose the member to be referred. Then select the person to receive the referral. Finally, add a brief note to both parties with any comments you would like to convey about the referral or persons involved. Connequity will take care of all further correspondence necessary to facilitate the connection.

Why am I only able to refer certain people from my contacts list?

The ability to initiate a direct referral is only available as a member-to-member feature. Any of your Contacts, who are also Connequity members, will have the refer feature available with their contact information. A shortcut to seeing all contacts capable of being referred is to filter your contacts to show only Referable contacts.

How can I receive more direct referrals from other Connequity members?

If you give referrals to other Connequity members in your network, you’ll be more likely to receive a referral in return from those involved. Referrals can be initiated from the Refer page. Additionally, if you accept new Matches and Referrals, you’ll be connecting with individuals who have been screened to be beneficial to your referral network. Also, as the Connequity ecosystem in your business territory grows, you’ll potentially receive more referrals (and matches) from those that you connect with.

How is my referral network determined?

Your Referral Network is comprised of your defined list of referral sources who have been identified as containing individuals whose professions are likely to refer business or clients to you. Connequity automatically adds contacts, categorized by referral source, to your referral network.

Can I modify my referral network?

You may edit, add, or delete the referral sources that make up your referral network at any time on the Refine Matches page. Keep in mind that when you add or delete a referral source, the types of Matches you are served from Connequity will be adjusted to correlate to your updated referral sources list.

Connections
Why do I need to rate the relevance of my contacts?

When your rate the relevance of your contacts, you are evaluating the likelihood that they will refer meaningful business or clients to you. This is one piece of the formula that Connequity uses to understand the types of matches that you desire. The more contacts you rate, the better quality of referral matches that Connequity is able to serve you. To rate your contacts relevance, go to the Contacts page and select the appropriate rating (1 to 5 stars, where 5 is best) corresponding to each contact.

Why do I need to verify the professions of my contacts?

Matches served to you by Connequity will always correspond to your defined referral sources. Your existing Contacts are automatically placed in their corresponding referrals sources, which make up your Referral Network. Your existing referral network influences the relevancy of new matches. However, in order for Connequity to accurately categorize your contacts as referral sources, their professions must correlate to the professions list that Connequity provides. In order to receive the highest quality and quantity of matches, you must choose a profession from Connequity’s professions list that best matches each contact.

What does Connequity do with my contacts?

Connequity uses the data for existing Contacts within your Referral Network to help determine relevancy for new matches based on past business success. You are able to privately assign relevance to each contact by selecting a star rating, which corresponds to each contact’s likelihood to refer business or clients to you. This data is analyzed by our Intelligent Lead Generator™ and influences the Matches that you are served. Connequity understands the importance of keeping your contact list private and secure. We will never contact your connections without your permission. And we won't sell your profile or spam your contacts, ever.

What benefits are there to inviting my contacts to join Connequity?

The ability to receive Matches that meet your needs depends on several factors, including the size of the Connequity ecosystem in your business territory. As your ecosystem grows, so will the availability of Matches that correlate with your specific referral needs. Inviting your Contacts to join Connequity will positively impact your matching potential as well as improve the overall ecosystem for all members.

What benefits are there to completing my entire profile?

Your profile consists of two parts: My Profile, and Clients Profile. Accuracy and completeness in filling out all profile pages helps to ensure higher quality and quantity of Matches. Additionally, My Profile contains the data that will be shown to your current connections, as well as potential Matches and Referrals. You’ll want to make sure you are conveying the right information to foster these important business relationships.
